This was a workshop that gave me resources for teaching English
as a second language.
-we used visualization strategies
-we were given words and had to write a story using those words in order
-we used sentence structures and had to write sentences
-we used drama, song, and reading theater
-we found websites with great information about teaching english as a second language.
It
is important that students not read for speed, but for expression. When they take the time to expressively act out the reading
they are getting more meaning then if they just read through the text as fast as they could.
